Yesterday, we all celebrated Ramnavami with great fervor & enthusiasm. But its very unfortunate that very few understands the real significance of this festival. We hardly try to understand why goddess Durga, the epitome of power is worshiped instead of Lord Rama on Ramnavami.
Today, lets try to understand it.
As per the old mythology,on Rama Navami,Lord Ram was born. He was born on Navami Tithi during Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month and each year this day is celebrated as Rama Navami, birthday of Lord Rama. It is also known as Chaitra Masa Suklapaksha Navami, and marks the end of the Chaitra-Navaratri or Vasant Navaratri.
The Chaitra Navratri is celebrated in the first month of Hindu lunar calendar and Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Rama, which falls on the ninth day during Navratri.
According to me, Lord Rama is a true embodiment of sensitivity. Lord Rama had remarkable values in his life. He was an obedient son, lovable brother and compatible husband. A woman is blessed with a unique strong emotional power and he realized it & valued the real meaning of woman’s respect and dignity. He was well versed with the tremendous power a woman bears and respected it.
This is the reason why we worship goddess Durga, a symbol of power, so that we can draw power from her and get the courage to face all odds of life with full courage.
Therefore, we all should learn to be sensible and ready to learn. We should explore the real purpose of our life.
