From past 4-5 years commerce has emerged out as a very prospering field. There is tremendous scope in this field and there are numerous options. In today’s time it is taken as a very much preferred course. There are diverse opportunities in career selection for commerce students and in a very less span of time they can establish their career.
What is the scope of commerce after 12th standard?
There are various courses and scopes for a commerce student like we have course of B.com along with CA, which is the most preferred course.
As earlier CA has been studied separately as a professional course from B.com therefore, what kind of skill or eligibility is needed for B.com along with CA?
Now a day’s students prefer to take more than two courses one at a time, an integrated approach is adopted by the society in this context. The students want to do some course immediately after 12th standard. The more studious students, who are very concerned for career, they prefer B.Com along with CA.
How we will justify and define the basic requisite skills for B.Com along with CA course.
As B.Com is an academic course and CA is a professional course and if one wants to take both B.Com and CA altogether in one course they have to fulfill the following skill requisitions. Therefore, one has to be:
Excessive hardworking.
Good continuous sitting capacity.
Analytical abilities.
Good grip on calculations.
Good knowledge and understanding of mathematics.
If one really enjoys accounting and finance and bear above skills then this combined course option will be best to be successful.
Apart from B.Com along with CA option which other options a commerce student can avail?
For those students who are not so hard working, don’t like to do laborious work and also bears average accountancy skills, for them there is an option of BBA i.e. Bachelors degree in Business Administration and it is also called BBM or BBS in some places. BBA is a good for those who possess good interactive skills, like to explore new things, have interest in marketing and HR Skills.
If one like theory subjects, their recalling power is good, communication skills are good, communication skills are good, , like doing meetings and secretarial works, for such students, there is another option i.e. to pursue a combined course of B.Com and CS i.e. Company Secretary. B.com is an academic course and CS is a professional course. As CS institute is an institute established by a separate act passed in the parliament therefore, it is an authentic, legal and powerful option. One can work under someone or can do private practice also in this field. So, B.com and CS is again a good career option for students which have fear for accountancy and enjoy theory more.
Usually students are scared of mathematics but in commerce what kind of options or benefits a student can have opting mathematics in commerce.
If one opts for mathematics along with commerce then there is a vast scope for diverse options for a student like:
If one is creative along with the course option of mathematics they can pursue their career in architecture, after qualifying Architect Aptitude Test.
If one has interest in Information technology then can make career in IT industry.
If one is good in statistics, then can opt for a statistics related career.
If one is passionate then can make their career in the same and become an economist.
Therefore, mathematics as an option adds to our abilities and career opportunities.

Still there are many students which don’t have any of the courses in commerce like CA. CS etc. for them there are many other fields where they can find career opportunities. If a student feels that he/she is a good speaker, wants to work in Television or in radio as RJ, then can opt for a course in Mass Communication (BGMC).if one feels they love travelling or like hospitality then can opt for tourism management and hotel management respectively.
If one is interested in Judiciary and legal concepts then can opt for five year integrated courses like BBA – LLM integrated course or B.Com along with LLM.
In short commerce opens diverse fields for students and they can avail their options according to their desire & choice.
