This question is very much related to us. We are searching happiness outside but in fact happiness is inside us. We can remain happy. Nobody can disturb us. No one can make us unhappy unless we allow anyone to do so.

An old lady was searching her key outside her house. Seeing that one of the passersby told her “try to remember where did you keep your key last time.” She replied “mostly I keep my key inside my house.”With surprise the person asked “if you have kept the key inside then why are you searching it outside your house?”
This question is very much related to us. We are searching happiness outside but in fact happiness is inside us. We can remain happy. Nobody can disturb us. No one can make us unhappy unless we allow anyone to do so.
Everyone is searching happiness here and there in materialistic things- but even after getting all the things we fail to enjoy real happiness. We all are searching happiness outside the body not within ourselves. No one in the world can claim “I was searching for happiness outside and I could get that ultimately.” Whereas no one can say “I was searching for happiness inside me continuously for five years but could not feel it.”
So Important question is –what is the way to achieve real happiness? The person who is really searching happiness inside could get it in one day, but the person who is searching happiness outside will never get it because happiness does not depend on outside objects. If you are happy you carry a natural smile 365 days for 24 hours.
Happiness is an attitude which comes with the feeling of gratitude. And another question is – how to get internal happiness? Real happiness is within us. And we need to focus inside which is possible by meditation. The people who are focusing outside they are focusing on materialistic things and they cannot do meditation.
If you have to know yourself then you have to focus inside rather than outside. Someone is focusing on Koran, someone in Bible but as science agrees that God is in the form of energy and we are all part of it let us realize the power inside. Feel the energy, know the power of happiness, know the power of truth, love which are already inside us. Better close your eyes which will help you to get distracted from outside objects. In meditation we have to feel good things by creating good thoughts because feeling gives us energy.
Take a deep breathe and feel “I need purity. Let me forgive others who created some unpleasant experiences .I am very thankful to this universe.”This universe consists of five elements-1.Earth, 2.Water, 3.Fire, 4.Air, 5.Sky.We are also made up of these five elements. When we develop the gratitude feelings towards these elements then nature gives us happiness in abundance. Let us also give thanks to all our teachers through a powerful Mantra and let us feel gratitude and chant this mantra with proper understanding and with right attitude.
Namo Arihantanam: I bow down to Arihanta who have just started teaching
Namo Siddhanam: I bow down to Siddha — that is second stage of teachers,
Namo Ayariyanam: I bow down to Acharya -who are teaching as well as practicing
Namo Uvajjhayanam: I bow down to Upadhyaya,- who are enlightened teachers
Namo Loe Savva-sahunam: I bow down to Sadhu and Sadhvi. –who are wise and received wisdom.
We worship the virtues rather than worshipping any one particular person.
