But every action will have equal and opposite reaction. The day you stop giving excuses that will be the day you will move towards perfection and start getting success.
Let us know our tradition, our culture and our own people.Manu, son of Surya, symbolizes mankind according to Hindu mythology – and thus the name manushya (human) is originated. Manu and Satarupa had five children – two sons, Priyavrata and Uttanapada, and three daughters, Akuti, Devahuti and Prasuti.
Let us recall Srimad Bhagavad Geeta where there are eighteen chapters and Arjuna is asking questions, Lord Krishna is answering and Sanjay is watching. There is Gyan yoga which means to live in knowledge and Karma yoga means to work without expectation of its result or fruit. Because Karma or action is in your hand but result is in someone’s hand. For example when you write answer in the examination, that is, you are doing your work and you can give your best but someone evaluates that paper and will judge you which is not in your hand. When you think what the examiner will do, you won’t be able to give proper attention to studies. And feel worried and get tension.
But every action will have equal and opposite reaction. The day you stop giving excuses that will be the day you will move towards perfection and start getting success. Most of the people give excuses for their failure that is they blame others if anything goes wrong but take all credit for good result. Try to understand at the time of examination whether I am focusing on my studies or on the result. You have to decide which method you should adopt and which one you should leave.
Literal meaning of Gyan yoga is to gain knowledge and enlighten yourself. It may mean go on taking knowledge but there is no application of the knowledge. Now the question asked by Arjuna is which is better Karma yoga or Gyan Yoga? Arjuna asked “If knowledge is everything then why should I fight and kill my near and dear ones. I am even not interested in getting kingdom and wish to rule. Is there any third option?”
Lord Krishna replied that while doing action you should have knowledge otherwise you will not understand which is the right knowledge. And while taking knowledge you should also try to apply the knowledge in practical life. Without application, knowledge will not be useful. Knowledge is required with action and action is required with proper knowledge. Out of these two, action is better because while doing action one will gain knowledge automatically.
Someone does the work first and then learn the lesson. But it is better while acquiring knowledge; we learn the lesson and apply the knowledge that is to do action with right kind of knowledge.
There is third option also which is called “Sanyas”yoga that is neither you take action and it’s responsibility nor you consider reaction is your own creation. So neither action nor reaction is yours but surrender totally and think “let God decide what should be done. And always have faith in the essence of Geeta–
“जो कुछ भी तू करता है, उसे भगवान के अर्पण करता चल। … जो हुअा, वह अच्छा हुअा, जो हो रहा है, वह अच्छा हो रहा है, जो होगा, वह भी अच्छा
Whatever happened, happened for the good; whatever is happening, is happening for the good; whatever will happen, will also happen for the good only.”
Let us now be true to ourselves and not pretend to worship (do Puja) or observe fast without understanding it’s true meaning. Even quantum physics says –“energy brings material and material cannot create energy.”
Let us channelize our energy with positive frequency so that we can get whatever we want. Knowledge will help you tune up with positive frequency. After that if we do action it will materialize. Let us repeat the powerful sloka of Geeta with faith and regard.
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana,
Ma Karma Phala Hetur Bhurma Tey Sangostva Akarmani”
